The second day of the Takapuna Jockey Club’s meeting was held at Ellerslie today in fine but dull weather. There was a fair attendance and the track was dead. Results;—Kawau Hurdles, of 150 so vs; one mile and three-quarters.—(4-4) Lap Up, 10.6 (Muir), 1; (1-1) Merry Lap, 10.9 (H. E. Thompson), 2; (7-7) Kanapa, 9f.0 (R. Cotter), 3. Ruling King~was scratched. Three-quarters of a length; a length. Time—3.2l 1-5. Vauxhall Handicap, of 125 sovs; 'six furlongs.—(l-1) Valamito, 9.0 (MeTavish), 1; (2-2) King NeptuneT 8.1 (Wiggins), 2; (8-9) Salva, 8.1 (L. Dulieu), 3, Mai de Mer was scratched.
