BRIDGE PARTY IN GOLF CLUBHOUSE

AID OF WHANGAREI GOLF CLUB A successful bridge party in aid of the funds of the Whangarei Golf Club was held in thd club house at Mt. Denby ;on Wednesday afternoon. There were 19 tables in play and these were arranged in the lounge, dining room and on the verandah. The club house was prettily decorated with bowls of •Guilder roses and sweet peas. The prizes were'' won' by Mrs Good and Mrs J. S. Day and Mrs Neale and Mrs Whitmore. The prize., for 'the lucky chair was won by Miss-Sway he. The president of the Ladies’. Golf Club, Mrs J. Donaldson presented .the prizes. Afternoon tea was! (served by the ladies committee. ~ 1
