Savage, referred to the ability with which the Speaker had presided over the House during the session. He paid a personal tribute to the Leader of the Opposition, and said it was always a pleasure to meet in combat a man who possessed the many qualities that Mr Forbes had. Mr Forbes added his tribute to the Speaker, who, he said, had shown friendly consideration for members at all times. The conduct of the House reflected credit on all. He appreciated the fact that, although he and the Prime Minister had been for i years politically opposed to each j other, there was something above I political differences, and that was the j friendship they maintained, Mr Forbes extended the good wishes of I
