Jack Lovelock Returns
Looking fit. Jack Lovelock, New Zealand’s famous long-distance runner, arrived at Auckland yesterday on a visit to New Zealand at the invitation of the Government. Mr Lovelock will tour the Dominion before returning to Oxford University to continue his medical studies. He announced that his track career was definitely closed, and, commenting on the Olympic Games, where he won the greatest distance race in history, he said: “There is too much of the show tendency, and the Games are getting out of hand, each nation trying to outdo the other.” , ■ .
