YOUNG WOMAN FOUND SHOT
VERDICT OF SUICIDE
[Per Press Association.—Copyright J BLENHEIM, This Day. A young married woman, separated from her husband, and known as Helene Duane, aged about 24, shot herself with a .22 bore rifle at the farmstead of Mr Lewis Clouston at Dashwood. Evidence at the inquest disclosed that deceased, who was employed as a cook, was engaged from the registr office at Wellington, when she gave the name of Helene Duane. An examination of her box, however, revealed a document which proved to be a separation agreement Helene . Dellabarca and her husband, Francesco Dellabarca, a fisherman, of Wellington. It was also stated in evidence that a man, an insurance agent, had been in the habit of seeing deceased, and that they went out together on Thursday morning. Deceased was called to the telephone, and when she came away remarked to her mistress, “Billy is going away to the North Island. He is flying over.” The young woman seemed depressed, although ordinarily she was bright and cheerful.
A verdict of suicide while of unsound mind was returned. f
