MILLIONAIRES’ ALIMONY DEFIANCE SOCIETY.
I (Received 10 a.m.) NEW YORK. October 22. A wealthy inventor, Mr Samuel Rushmore, announces his readiness to spend 100,000 dollars to help his new organisation, “Millionaires’ Alimony Defiance Society,” to advocate legislation for in the divorce laws. " Mr Rushmore says that in five years he spent 85,000 dollars in obtaining a divorce and finally won after a raid on his wife’s apartment. .He had paid alimony in such large sums so often that he obtained a rubber stamp to sign the cheques. The organisation now has six millionaire members and 25 others in prospect.
