MAUNU INSTITUTE DANCE
The social and dance organised by the Maunu Women’s Institute and held recently in the Maunu hall, was a great success.
Visitors were present from'Maungatapere, Poroti and Kara. Mr. H. Snell capably carried out the duties of M.C. and dancing went with a swing to the music of the Melody Makers Orchestra. The supper was in the hands of a sub-committee and was everything that could be desired.
The president, Mrs J. I. Wilson, welcomed the guests. During the evening the drama circle presented two plays—“ Drums” and “April Showers.” At the close of the entertainment Mrs Aicken of Maungatapere Women’s Institute thanked Maunu on behalf of the group.
