UNIFORMS TO BE BANNED?
CABINET FROWNS ON POLITICAL ARMIES (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, October 21. The “Morning Post’s” political correspondent understands that - the majority of the Cabinet.favour an early introduction of legislation banning uniforms in specified areas, with a view to preventing the formation of political armies of the Continent kind. The “Post,” whose correspondent conducted a tour of investigation in the East End, points out that Sir Oswald Mosley has adopted the unmodified tactics which Herr Hitler used before he seized power. He has deliberately provoked clashes, so that the Fascist movement will be not ignored. He has opened a chain of propaganda centres known as blockhalls throughout the East End and paid agents to frequent the streets and treat workmen at local public houses, using the chance, to propagate Fascist doctrines and revile Jews.
