Europeans 4028; a total of; 198,379. • Imports to the colony for the first eight months of 1936 were valued at £981',536, and exports at £1,059,192. It was estimated that the 1936, crops sugar would total 169,000 tons, which was a record; bananas would maintain their position; and copra would total 30,000 tons. A pineapple canning industry was to be inaugurated by the Colonial Sugar Company.
