UTAKURA
The death occurred, on Friday, ol Mr Thomas T. Herbert, of Utakura. who had a heart attack on Thursday. He was born near Edinburgh in 1859. At the age of five, he and his parents came to this country on the ship Resolute. His people settled at Rawene. He worked as a compositor at the "Auckland Star" office. Later he went to Sydney, where lie joined the staff of a daily paper. Some years later he returned to Rawcne, and was there till 10 or 12 years ago. when lie came to live with his brother. Mr J. N. Herbert, of Utakura. He was buried on Saturday at the Wesleyan Cemetery. The service was conducted bv the Rew N C- Hall.
