TJONOUR is to be done Sir James Allen shortly by the presentation of his portrait in oils to the National Art Gallery, Wellington, and of a second similar one to his home city of Dunedin. One portrait was completed last month and the second is well advanced. The artist in both cases is Mr Archibald F. Nicol. of Christchurch. The first portrait will be presented on July 28.—P.A.
