Smart Modes in Sportswear

[THE use of leather for outdoor garments is both interesting and popular overseas. With a little ingenuity it is posable for any woman to utilise the followideas for her own wardrobe, giving her clothes that individuality which is often only attained by French designers, who realise the value of accessories to; .the plain, well-cut frock or suit* One noted French house shows a smart sports outfit, with skirt and flared three-quarter jacket of knobbly angora in corduroy brown. The jacket is worn over a sleeveless waistcoat of natural washing' doe-skin, with chunky brown buttons down the front, and a brown angora scarf tucked in the Y neck. Another suit, specially suitable’ for the younger girl, could be quite easily made, as chamois skins are obtainable and are soft and. easy to sew. It is a black crinkled wool frock, yery plain, worn with a natural chamois jacket, loose, .and buttoned at the neck. The stand-up collar and [the bottoms of the loose sleeves are embroidered in coloured wool. For golf, a cocoa brown tweed skirt, flecked with mustard and flame, buttoning down the front ,with circular brown leather buttons, is worn with a fitting coat [with matching leather collar and revers, fastening with the same leather buttons as the skirt.
