SENSATIONAL SHOOTING AFFRAY

MELBOURNE POLICE CHIEF’S .ESCAPE (Received 10 a.m.) j • ' MELBOURNE, May 24. A ' sensational shooting affair is rented in which Superintendent John O’Connell Bxiophy, who began duty as chief of the Victorian, Criminal Investigation Department a week ago, was the victim.
