DEWAR TROPHY I On exhibition at the Redan Hotel/ I Kaitaia, at present is a pewter tankard to be known as the Dewar trophy and presented by Messrs Dewar and Sons I Ltd. for competition by the bowling i clubs in the Bay of Islands electorate district, excluding Hikurangi. The rules for competition have been drawn up and provide that teams entered by a club shall consist of bona fide members of that club: that the competition shall be held annually and • the trophy held by the skip of the winning team for one year only; all competitions for the trophy shall be for full rinks; each club holding the trophy shall provide all facilities'to hold any competition and shall provide for en,graved miniature, cups for presentation to the members of the winning team and shall also provide an engraved shield to attached to the base cf the trophy. "* The tankard is a very handsome piece of work, and will l>e treasured by those who have the distinction of holding it for one year.
