KAIWAKA
After having spent an enjoyable holiday with Mr and Mrs Street, Kaiwaka, Mrs Kirk, of Hamilton, has returned to her Ijome. . Mr Riddols, of Auckland, has commenced duties as relieving teacher at the Kaiwaka school. Miss C. Dowson, who has been spending some months with Mrs Foster, Maungaturoto, has returned to her home at Kaiwaka.
Miss Torr, the head teacher of the Kaiwaka school, who is recovering from an illness, is staying with friends at Mangere, where she is recuperating before again taking up her duties. , Miss McClean, of Kaiwaka, has arrived in Wellington, whence she will join the Monowai for a cruise around Milford Sound.
Mr J. Hay, Jun., of Kaiwaka, is in the Auckland Public Hospital undergoing a slight operation. Miss Thelma Cculdrey, of Northcote,,,who has been spending a week’s holiday with Mrs McClean, of Kaiwaka, has returned home.
