TARRANT’S TEAM HAS NARROW WIN

MADRAS, February 4,
Mr Frank Tarrant’s Australian cricketers won a most exciting mafch against Madras Presidency by one wicket. The victory was largely due to Leather’s vigorous hitting. He made 46 not out. Other scores were: Bryant 33, Ryder 23, Hendry 49, Macartney 39, Oxenham not out- 34. The innings closed for 262 runs for nine wickets. The visitors had been dismissed in the first innings for 47, and Madras had scored 142 and 165.
