AUSTRALIA AND THE EAST
THE TRADE SITUATION, SYDNEY. February 3. Upon the arrival in Sydney today of Mr R. F. Sanderson, a member of the Commonwealth trade delegation which recently toured the East, he urged Australian exporters to extend their existing markets and drop the idea of finding'new - outlets for their goods. Australian goods in the East, he said, were comparable to any from other countries, but because of the high rates of freight arid shipping difficulties they fatJcd right out of the picture when it came to landed costs.
