MAC DONALDS' FATE IN THE BALANCE
[British Official Wireless.] (Received 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, January 31.1 Four candidates have been nominated for the Ross and Cromarty byelection. They are:— Mr Malcolm MacDonald (Nat. Govt.) Mr Randolph Churchill (Con.) Mr Hector McNeil (Lab.) Dr. W. S. Russell Thomas (Lib.) Polling takes place on February 10. Polling, which took place by post, closed today in the Scottish byelection, in which Mr Ramsay MacDonald is endeavouring to regain his Commons seat. The declaration will be on Monday.
