AGREEMENT REACHED
I CHRISTCHURCH BANANA | BOYCOTT [Special to "Northern Advocate.” J | WELLINGTON. This Day. An agreement' which will end the banana boycott in Christchurch, was reached in Wellington at the week-end, according to information sent to Christchurch by the negotiators, Messrs G. S. Radley for Radley Bros., Ltd., the contracting firm, and L. Daniel and C. Capes, officials of the Canterbury Fruitbuyers’ Association, who interviewed the Prime Minister. Subsequently the following message was received from the negotiators:— “The Canterbury Fruitbuyers’ Association and Radley Bros., Ltd., reached an agreement today which was approved by the Government and which will end the present dispute. The agreement makes the provision that retailers can buy their supplies at a fixed price for the year, either green ex-ship or ripened. This starts from the next inward trip of the Maui Pomare. The public will therefore today be able to purchase from all retailers a plentiful supply of ■ good fruit at considerably reduced rates.”
