HAIR CAUGHT IN ROD
LITTLE GIRL’S FORTUNATE ESCAPE An unusual accident occurred in Mr G. Holster’s milking shed at Poroti last evening, when his six-year-old daughter, Valerie, had her hair caught in the revolving rod above one of the cc-w bails. Fortunately the rod does not revolve at great speed, and it was possible to rescue the child before she suffered 'serious injury. However, a large amount of hair was pulled out of the child’s scalp, and she suffered considerably from shock, • She was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital, where her condition is not serious.
