ABBEY FEALE’S DIVIDEND [Per Press Association.—Copyright.} THAMES. This Day. The best return for the Thames Jockey Club’s racing meeting held at Parawai on Saturday was made by Abbey Feale, the outsider of the field of seven on both machines. The four-year-old Day Wind gained his first success in open company when he won the President’s Handicap, confirming the impression that he is likely to pi’ove useful over middle distances. The attendance was good and the totalisator handled £11,794. compared with £9.295 10/-, on the second day last year. The investments for the meeting amounted to £24,010. against £17,928 last year, an increase of £3.082. Final results were:—
President’s Handicap, of 120 sovs; one mile and one furlong.—-(4-6) Day Wind. 7.3 (W. Thomson), 1; (1-1) Lagoon, 8.0, (S, Tremain), 2; (2-3) Prince Acre, 8.3 (J. Winder), 3. Five others started. Won by half a length; third horse a similar distance away. Time—--1.58.

Farewell Handicap, of 80 sovs, and sweepstake of £1; six furlongs.—(7-7) Abbey Feale, 7.2 (W. Thomson), 1; (2-1) Professional, 7.8 (R. McTavish), 2; (3-3) Mungacre, 8.5 (H. Goldfinch), 3 Four others started. Won by a half a head; third horse a length and a quarter away. Time—l.l7 3-5. County Handicap, of 75 sovs; seven furlongs.—(l-1) Ringshot, 8.5 (R.
