[Special to “Northern Advocate.”] AUCKLAND, This Day. The concluding day in the first round of the A.C.A. senior championship, on rain-damaged wickets, on. Saturday afternoon saw Eden maintain their leading position. Grafton went down to North Shore, and Y.M.C.A. also took a first innings’ decision over University. Ponsonby got the win on the first innings against Parnell, while Eden routed King’s Old Boys, but just missed the outright win. Best scores were:—Ellis (Grafton) 81. Whitelaw (Parnell) 67, Stallworthy (Ponsonby) 54, Ratcliffe (Grafton) 58, Paten (Y.M.C.A.) 64.
