KOHUKOHU
Mr and Mrs John Burt and family are spending a short holiday with relatives in Nelson, and expect to be away two or three weeks. Miss Rene Woods, who was a relieving teacher in Kohukohu for some time last year, accompanied by her sister, Nurse Woods, is spending a short holiday renewing old friendships. The Rev. C, H. Bell has returned from a holiday visit to Taranaki. Mr V. Potter leaves for Auckland this week to take part in the tennis championships. Mrs Jarvie has returned from a lengthy holiday spent in Whangarei. Miss Shirley Page, aged 14, put up a remarkable performance on Saturday by swimming across a strong current to the island, a 'distance of about one mile. This course has seldom been negotiated, and took about 20 minutes to complete.
