AMUSEMENTS

REGENT BEN TRAVERS’ COMEDY “Stormy Weather,” the GaumontBritish comedy now at the Regent Theatre, is one of those hilarious farces for which Ben Travers has become famous. Four of 'the old Aldwych players are in the cast, Yvonne Arnaud appearing with the Walls-Lynn-Hare trio. There is an abundance of amusing dialogue and a series of diverting situations. It is a real “laugh vehicle.” The comically absurd story and its bizarre Chinese =underworld settings and atmosphere are a departure from the situations usually expected in a Travers’ farce. Tom Walls and Yvonne Arnaud provide amusing interludes of affectionate indifference to each other. Ralph Lynn puts over his own inimitable type of polite and worried ineptitude, and Robertson Hare contributes one of his customa'ry studies, a little more henpecked than usual. Laughable from beginning to end. It is a picture everyone should see. Good supports fill the first half of a capital programme.
