SILVER JUBILEE FOREST
TO BE PLANTED IN HOLY LAND (Received 1.30 p.m.) JERUSALEM, December 4. The King George V Silver Jubilee Forest, consisting of 500,000 trees to which the Commonwealth Government is presenting a selection of Australian trees, will be inaugurated on a hillside outside Nazareth on December 19. It will be the Silver Jubilee tribute ‘ from Jews throughout the Empire. The High Commissioner of Palestine, Sir Arthur Wauchope, will participate in the ceremony. He will plant a seven-foot Cyprus from the Royal Park, Windsor. The Zionist Leader, Dr. M. M. Ussishkin, will address the gathering in Hebrew, and his speech, will be broadcast throughout the Empire. The forest will be the largest in,the Holy Land.
