HEALTH STAMP CAMPAIGN IPer Press Association. — Copyriqht.l WELLINGTON, This Day. The Health Stamp Campaign objective of £IO,OOO is now almost within £3OOO of the mark. The DirectorGeneral of the Post Office, Mr G. Mcnamara, in his latest statement shows that the total has reached £6994 8/. The relative achievements in the various postal districts are as follows: Wellington, £l6lß 15/5; Auckland, £733 13/10; Napier, £5Bl 4/1; Palmerston North, £497 17/1; Hamilton, £483 2/8; Invercargill, £471 5/9; Dunedin, £467 12/7; Christchurch, £446 16/4; New' Plymouth, £435 18/7; Wanganui, £253 13/; Gisborne, £235 1/9; Timaru, £l7l 18/1; Thames, £157 19/10; Blenheim, £133 6/2; Oamaru, £l2l 3/8; Greymouth, £llO 9/3; Nelson, £56 12/6; Westport, £l7 17/5. The total of £6994 8/ is made up of Health Stamps, £3297 9/9; sale of envelopes, £298 6/4; and donations, £3398 11/11.
When the campaign opened the weekly receipts were averaging £IOOO, and the final efforts in the favourable atmosphere of Christmastide should enable the campaign workers throughout the Dominion to celebrate coranlete success by the end of the year.
