The YOUNG NORTHLANDER
TUESDAY’S SURPRISE MUCH EXCITEMENT AFOOT CHANGES AT HEADQUARTERS. Dear Northlanders, Aren’t you all on tip toe with excitement? For me Tuesday will not come quickly enough, and it’s just the same in the case of the Tohunga, the Office Boy and Princess Rauranga. As for the Taniwha—he seems to find his creek bed unusually hard, for although pretending to be very casual about this big surprise of ours, he keeps coming up every now and again to see how the good work is proceeding. Tribal Headquarters are looking their best and brightest just at the moment. The decks have been well and truly cleared for action. We’ve had to clear a special corner and import a desk for Princess Rauranga, That lady has got dreadfully uppish since we gave in to her about the Council meeting, and insists on having a table to work at just like mine. This .must be a very short letter, my warriors, for Tuesday’s surprise is taking a lot of preparation. Till then good-bye— KUPE, Rangatira, Northland Tribe.
