ARMS EMBARGO—It is reported from Geneva that 27 members of the League of Nations, already have put into effect the first proposal of the Sanctioits Co-ordination Committee, namely, the embargo on the arms for Italy. Six members have applied a prohibition of loans and ci’edits to Italy, as contained in the Committee’s second proposal. ITALY’S CANAL DUES.—The Suez Canal Company’s latest report shows that so far Italy lias sent about 250,000 white troops through the canal, the dues in respect of whom the accompanying war materials, have totalled nearly £1,000,000. PAPERS CUT DOWN.—In order to conserve the supplies of newsprint, the Italian Government has issued a decree limiting the size of newspapers to six pages daily from November 5.
