THE MAHENO
REFLOATING PROSPECTS. ANOTHER ATTEMPT. (Received 10 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Another attempt is to be made to refloat the Maheno, which, while being towed to Japan, was beached during a cyclone on an island off the Queensland coast some time ago. The Japanese marine expert who inspected the vessel declares that there is definite hope of towing her off, and the steamer Don ah will shortly arrive on the scene, with 100 men and complete salvage gear. If the efforts fail, the Maheno will be broken up on the spot and loaded on to the Oonah.
