TN what are believed to be the first prosecutions of their kind in New Zealand, two Blenheim confectioners were convicted of selling newspapers in their shops on Sunday. The papers concerned were sporting publications, issued in Wellington. The magistrate, who confessed that he had bought one of the papers himself on Sundays, entered a conviction without penalty.
