WELCOME RAIN
PASTURES WILL BENEFIT AFTER COLD UNSEASONABLE SPELLS. The light warm rain of the past two days will mean a great deal to North Auckland farmers, as it is bound to have an effect in stimulating pasture growth, which has been retarded by the unseasonably wet and cold spring. At Whangarei the fall for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. today was / 37 of an inch, making the total for October so far 2.lsinch. At Ruatangata, the fall for the 24 hours up to 9 o’clock today was .46inch. The sky was still overcast today and the atmosphere warm.
