BANANAS SELL CHEAPLY. [Special to “Northern ‘Advocate”} AUCKLAND, This Day. At the City Markets yesterday tomatoes increased in price, but ripe bananas sold freely, and were lower in value. During the day the Port Whangarei arrived with a shipment of Tongan kumaras and bananas. New potatoes, green peas, asparagus, rhubarb and cabbage were in heavy supply in the vegetable section. Prices were a little lower than those ruling last week. Cauliflowers, parsnips ami kumaras met with a ready sale, while onions sold up to 2ii a cental.
