The Kaeo Tennis Club’s courts were officially opened on Saturday afternoon. . The weather was brilliantly fine. About 40 players took part in the tournament, and some good tennis was seen. Following a short speech by the club captain, in which he welcomed all visitors and players, Mr J. Barron introduced Mrs Kennedy, senr., who served the first official ball of the season. Afternoon tea was served by the ladies’ committee.
