NEW SCHOOL AT WAIMA
The building of the new Waima School is now well ahead. The new building will replace one which has been in use for a great number of years. During the bad floods some time back, - teachers and pupils had a harrowing time wondering whether the floods would wash ; away the school, which was completely surrounded with water. A number of the pupils took refuge on the roof. The erection of the new school will obviate any further danger, as it is being built on high ground at the back of the old building. The school is of the latest and most modern design, and a feature is the amount of window space, the side to the fun being practically all glass.
