LEVEL CROSSING ACCIDENT
J EXPRESS TRAIN AND VAN. ]Per Press Association.—Copyrights , LEVIN, This Day. * A baker’s van containing two Levin men, Messrs Robert Anderson and J. < Corrigan, was struck by the southbound Napier express at Roslyn Road level crossing, one mile north of Levin, ( this afternoon. The van was proceed- x ing to negotiate the crossing on to the g main highway and was struck on the ‘ ( right-hand side by the train. ( The residents nearby heard the crash and rushed to the scene. A doctor was called. As far as is known, Mr Corrigan received a broken collar- s bone arid abrasions and Mr Anderson r escaped - injury,* but both are suffer- j ing from shock; The-.van was smashed ) to pieces. _ - c
