SIR A. HORE-RUTHVEN. APPOINTMENT ANNOUNCED. (Received 11 a.m.) HOBART, This Day. Mr J. A. Lyons has announced that the King has appointed Sir Alexander Hore-Ruthven, V.C., Governor-Gener-al of Australia, in succession to 'Sir Isaac Isaacs. The date on which he will assume office will be announced later.
