As the result of . a motor cycle accident yesterday afternoon, Otto Robert White, aged 17, son of Mr Otto C. White, a hairdresser of New Brighton, the rider of the machine, was killed, and his companion, Francis Beardsley aged 18, of Lonsdale Street, New Brighton, who was pillion riding, was badly injured. The accident happened in Page’s Road, the motor cycle the youths were riding crashing into the rear of a carrier’s truck, owned by Mr E. L. Smith and driven by Mr William Anderson Barclay. White suffered severe head injuries and died within a few minutes of the accident. His companion was admitted to hospital.
