SAFE BLOWN OPEN
COUNTY OFFICE ROBBED. [Per Press Association.—r , or>-r/ricr7it.l MASTERTON, This Day. The sum of £3B was secured by burglars in the early hours of yesterday morning, when they blew open the safe in the Featherston County Council office at Martinborough.
It appeared to be the work of professionals, the sound of the explosion being deadened with mats, sacks, etc. Two cash boxes were smashed to pieces, and papers were strewn around.
