DOUBLE TROUBLE
DRIVER AND TRUCK. (Special to “Northern Advocate ." 3 ' TE PUKE, This Day. Mr A. G. Diprose, of Te Puke was driving his truck near Napier, when he ran out of benzine, and. while walking to town to get benzine was knocked down by a car. He was taken to Napier and is likely to be in . hospital for six weeks. His condition is fairly serious. Mr Diprose’s lorry was driven to Te Puke, and near Rotorua five occupants had a miraculous escape from injury when the vehicle capsized, crashing into an electric power pole on the Rotorua-Mouera Road, 9J miles from Rotorua. The truck failed to negotiate' a curve, crashed violently into the pole, struck the bank, and turned upside down. None of the occupants,- who included a woman and two children; was injured. The truck was later towed back to Rotorua.
