Dancing was then resumed until 12.30, when Mr Kildaire, on behalf of the guests, thanked Mr and Mrs Cannon for their wonderful hospitality. Mrs Jew, a friend of the family, travelled all the way from Ngaruawahia to preside at the piano, and she certainly provided the most tuneful dance music. She also sang some songs, which were greatly appreciated.
