HEAD-ON COLLISION
SEVERAL PEOPLE HURT. [Special to "Northern Advocate"! OTOROHANGA, This Day. A head-on collision between two motor cars late on Saturday night resulted in serious injuries to several of the occupants. Mr F. E. Cleland. of Kiokio, was driving with friends to a dance at Otewa, and when travelling slowly in a bad fog and with pbor visibility his car collided with one driven by Mr Connolly, of Te Kawa. Mrs Connolly suffered severe concussion and shock and was unconscious for 24 hours. Mr Hubert Thompson, who was in the same car, suffered cuts and abrasions. Miss Edna Trott, who was with Mr Cleland, received a deep wound in the head and suffered shock Mr Cleland suffered injuries to his hand and cuts, and Mesdames Trott and Cleland both suffered from bruises and shock.
