PERSONAL. Miss Nancy Lane, of Auckland, is spending a short holiday with her cousin, Mrs L. Hayes, of Pupuke. It is pleasing to report that Mr W. H. Lane, of Kaeo, who for the past three weeks has been an inmate of the Kawakawa Hospital, is now prograssing steadily. Mrs J. Whitton, of Auckland, is spending a few days with friends in Kaeo.
The county clerk and engineer, Mr A. Chappell, has resumed his duties after a holiday in the South.
PASTURES IN NORTH.
The recent heavy rains have brought the pastures in the Kaeo Valley into particularly heavy growth, and farmers are taking advantage of the present fine weather for the saving of hay and ensilage crops. CHURCH OF ENGLAND DANCE. The impromptu dance given by the Church of England on Thursday proved quite successful. Mr and Mrs Green and Miss Jacentho provided the music. The M.C. was Mr Green.
As a result, the church funds will benefit to the extent of £2.
