Juniors,

Boys’ Singles.—Allen beat Henderson. 6—3, 6—3.

Girls’ Singles.—Miss E. Stewart beat Mifes A. Burges Watson. 6—3, B—6. With his fifth win of the Auckland championship title, E. L. Bartleet established a record. Two other players, W. B. A. Morrison in 1887 and 1891-93, and J. T. Laurenson in 1920-21 and 1924 and 1931, have each scored four victories. On the women’s honours board, Miss Marjorie Macfarlane’s name appears eight times, but she has fought out more finals than that.

Dymond, 6—4, 6—3, in a match that was not as brilliant as had been anticipated. The ladies’ final was won by Miss M. Sherris, who beat Miss T. Poole 6—2, 6—4, in an exciting match. T. Rhodes-Wil-liams lost his third title when he and I. A. Seay were beaten in the | men’s doubles by Angas and Dy- | mond. He lost the combined and | singles titles the previous day in the semi-final matches.

Champion results were: Men’s singles: C. Angas beat H. Dymond 6—4, 6 —3. Ladies’ singles: / Miss M. Sherris beat Miss T. Poole, 6—2, 6 —4. Men’s doubles: C. Angas and H. Dymond beat T.
