CALM BROKEN
FRACAS IN SAAR SHOT AT CATHOLIC MEETING. POLICE BREAK UP GATHERING. f [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright J (Received 11.30 a.m.) SAARBRUCKEN, December 30. The calm which was hitherto in the Saar area, now under the control of an international force pending the plebiscite on January 9, was broken at Pliesscastle, where an indoor meeting of the Catholic Front was broken up by police commanded by Major Bentinck. after a fight among the audience, in the course of which chairs were used as weapons. Herr Imbusch, ex-deputy chief speaker of the Reichstag, is in hospital with head wounds. The police an’ested a man, who allegedly fired a revolver thus starting the fracas.
