FEWER DEATHS RECORDED
FIGURES FOR YEAR. Whangarei’s population increased naturally by 217 during the year, there being an excess of 217 births over deaths. Marriages also showed an increase, while deaths declined considerably. Comparative figures are as follows. 1932 1933 1934 Births 362 297 317 Deaths 108 145 117 Marriages .. .. 104 114 120
Of the marriage figures given above. 45 were performed by the registrar in 1932, 35 in 1933. and 37 in 1934.
