AT TAURANGA REGATTA. MAIDEN FOURS. ISpecial to “Northern Advocate”! TAURANGA, This Day. The Whangarei Rowing Culb's heavy maiden crew won the maiden fours event at the Tauranga Regatta yesterday. The race resulted;— Maiden Fours (open), one mile. — Whangarei (O. E. Bindon, P. Gardner, H. Patterson, C. Storey), 1; Opotiki (P. Fox, V. Mulhern, B. Mansell, Fox), 2; Hamilton No. 1 (J. Stuart, L. Skeet, B. Peart, L. Pardington), 3. The event was one of the finest ever seen here. Whangarei gained the verdict by a canvas, Opotiki’was half a length in front of Hamilton No. 1. West End No. 1 was a very close fourth.
