CRASH INTO HOUSE
CAR LEAVES FOOTPATH. DRIVER UNHURT. (Per Press Association. —Copyright.) CHRISTCHURCH,, This Day. Late on Saturday a heavy limousine driven by Miss E. Hamilton, of St. Aubyn’s, collided with another car on the corner, jumped a side channel in Bealey Avenue, smashed a six-foot paling fence, then crashed into the side of a house, a portion of which was shifted off its foundation. A number of articles in the room affected, including a clock, were broken, and the bumper of the car was embedded in the broken weatherboards. The occupant of the house, Mrs F, Lewis, was given a severe fright by the noise and impact. The driver of the car was not hurt.
