BRIDGE REPAIRS
NORTHERN ROADS. The Titirangi bridge, on the Ohaea-wai-Pakaraka road, is to be re-decked. Materials are on hand, and work is expected to commence almost immediately. This bridge at the present • time is a nasty one, having sunk at both ends below road level. With the planking as it is, it is the cause of many a thrill to unknowing motorists, who have visions of perhaps hitting the side railing, should they miss the main run-boards. A considerable amount of metal has been placed on the road from Pakaraka to Otiria, but because of the large amount of traffic using the road, it has been thrown off on to the banks, and presents a danger to light vehicles if care is not exercised.
