A MUSLIN SPREAD.
Make a plain pink or blue cover for the bed, or sateen or cotton material. Let it come down to within a couple of inches Of the floor; make also two plain pieces of the size of the pillows. Muslin is very wide, and obtainable in all delicate shades of double width. The whole of the bed is covered with a plain length, and two frilled deep vallances are added either side. Two pieces are cut plain for the pillow shams, and edged with a two-inch closely-pleated frill all round. Tack these to the two plain pieces of colour.
