WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
> KAMO. The monthly meeting of the Kamo Women’s Institute was held in the Hall .on Wednesday. Mrs Newman presided over thirty members. The meeting opened with the Institute slogan. The new members and visitors were welcomed. After the bust: ness period, a social was spent. A competition, the' best article made from a sugar bag, resulted in Die first prize being'awarded'to Miss Joyce Grantham for a cushion, the second to Mrs Clotworthy for a mat, and. the third to Mrs Edgy for a wood-holder. There were a large number of exhibits, and the judging was no easy matter. It was decided to stock again a consignment of basket ware for the Blind Institute. Ti.c meeting closed with the National /n----them. The hostess for the afternoon Were Mesdames Grantham and Edge.
